Construction Associate
Our client, a large Irish commercial firm, has an opportunity for qualified mid-level associates to join our Construction Department. The positions will be based in our Dublin Office. Associates with two to five years of general construction experience in a leading Irish , international corporate law firms, or In-House experience are encouraged to apply. We advise a broad mix of clients involved in building and engineering projects ― including developers, public and private sector employers, construction companies and designers on contentious and non-contentious contractual and procurement issues.

Responsibilities
Our services include advice on:
- Building and engineering contracts (eg FIDIC, NEC, RIAI, Public Works)
- Contract preparation and negotiations
- Dispute resolution (adjudication, conciliation, arbitration) and avoidance
- Public procurement issues & Public private partnerships
- Tender documentation
- Development agreements
- Risk analysis & management
Skills/Experience
- Have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Be a qualified Solicitor (in Ireland or England and Wales), ideally with 2-5 years' relevant post qualification experience in a construction team in a leading Irish, relevant in-house company or international law firm;
- Have experience both working in teams and in managing components of transactions independently,
- Be proactive, with a strong business sense and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
